Lithuanian Floorball Federation was established in year 2009, with the goal to promote floorball, organize floorball activities, unite all the floorball enthusiasts, players, clubs and teams and to represent Lithuania internationally.

On the 8^th of May 2010 LFF was granted a provisional membership in the IFF. Lithuania has become a 52^nd member of the IFF.

On the 15^th of May 2010 LFF has launched the first national championship. The 2010 championship will be a 2 round tournament (Spring-Autumn) and will have 5 teams competing to become the first Lithuanian champions.
